The Knights’ Trail, Lincoln

Today we paid a visit to Lincoln, one of my favourite cities in Lincolnshire, partly for the walk and to practice driving the unfamiliar country roads, but mainly to have a go at following the temporary Knights’ Trail and ticking another trail off my list.

The Lincoln Knights’ Trail echoes previous citywide exhibitions such as the Gromit Trail in Bristol and the Amy Johnson Moths in Hull, this time featuring knights on horses of differing designs dotted around the streets of Lincoln.

There are a total of 37 Knights to find, one of which is a special bonus statue situated inside one of the university buildings, and so is easy to miss. It’s a bit of a trek, but that’s all part of the fun, even when the scorching sun is beating down and slowly draining all the energy and moisture from your fatigued body!

There’s plenty to see and do in the beautiful city of Lincoln anyway, but if you’re looking for an extra attraction, the Knights’ Trail continues to run until September 3rd 2017.
